We design our courses around the concept devised by Jenny Moseley called the “Five Wells”. She asserts that if we do a little of each well every day then our lives are more balanced and we can cope with stress much easier. We adopt this principle when working with children too as they have their own difficulties at times.
The Wells
are:
The workshops can be put together as a course to cover each of these aspects. For example, we can do a photo session and make frames to put the photos in for creativity, physical could be massage, cognitive could be aromatherapy learning about oils, spiritual could be the drama or relaxation sessions, and all of it will be fun!
The workshops are great bonding sessions between parent/guardian and child and can equally be used as Lads and Dads sessions which could be delivered by a male therapist.
Sessions
cost £125 each and 5 sessions £600.

Drama Workshops
The aims of drama workshops are to help children understand how to face factsand to interpret without prejudice. It also helps children to develop a range and degree of identification with other people to help develop a set of principles. Drama workshops also help children build confidence and speak out sometimes through drama when they are not able to do so in their everyday life.
Workshop Example.
Warm up
To start the lesson children will be asked about their knowledge
of drama, what they think of it and how it is used.
Game 1
Children will then be asked to get into pairs and tell each other a little
about themselves. They then will be asked to return and form a circle.
Volunteers will then stand in the midle of the circle and tell the rest
of the group about what they have learned about their partner. They will
do this by becoming their partner, acting as if it is themselves they are
talking about.
Objectives
This game helps children demonstrate mental
ability, an abilityto recall informationand remember it and communicate
characters different from themselves.

Exercise Sessions
Pilates
Pilates improves the body's posture and flexibility by toning the
muscles, using slow and controlled movements to prevent injury. Correct
postural alignment prior to any movements taking place during pilates sessions
is key to the success of this technique
Yoga
Like ayurvedic and traditional chinese medicine, yoga is actually
a 'complete science of life'. In yoga, physical exercises, known as 'asanas',
are practised regularly in order strengthen and tone the nervous system,
relieve tension, improve circulation and increase flexibility. Each asana
(or 'steady post') involves gentle stretching and deep, meditative breathing.
The four main styles of yoga are iyengar, ashtanga, sivananda and viniyoga.
Yoga For Children
Children are lead through creative stories and exciting
adventures that stimulate their imagination and help to maintain their
natural flexibility.
Health & Wellbeing Days
We are able to offer many therapies and workshops as part of a Well Being day or promotional event. This can include offering holistic therapies, Mehndi, beauty treatments, workshops or exercise sessions. This may be a large event involving many therapists or a small event needing only one.
I just wanted to say a huge thank you for all of your hard work on Saturday - I know that both you and Jagir didn’t stop! The parents/carers and the children all thought that having the therapies available to them was amazing and a real treat. I am only sorry that I didn’t get a treatment myself - oh well, perhaps next time! We will be in touch again when we are planning our next event. Beyond the Horizon
